Yorkshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association defeat Northumberland at Huddersfield Golf Club
Yorkshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association welcomed the Northumberland team to Huddersfield Golf Club for the first Richardson Trophy match. Huddersfield Golf Club Lady Captain June Sowden gave everyone a warm welcome at the start of the day. The standard of golf was absolutely terrific, even the weather could not dampen the golfers spirits, with YLVGA winning 6.5 to 0.5.
A big thank you was offered to all the caddies who made playing in difficult weather conditions so much easier and all the players were very appreciative. It was also nice to see Huddersfield GC members out supporting us, alongside our President Jo and Vice Captain Karen Leake. I hope you all enjoyed the day.
Thanks to Brenda Parker who brightened up the tables with lovely white rose arrangements, also to Huddersfield Golf Club team who were all brilliant and looked after our every need.
