Two exciting opportunities have arisen at Huddersfield Golf Club, for committed and enthusiastic Assistant Greenkeeper’s to join our excellent greens team.
Our Par 71 Championship Course is one of the oldest in Yorkshire and situated mid-way between Leeds and Manchester and only five minutes from the M62 (J 24), making Huddersfield Golf Club one of the most accessible golfing locations in the North of England.
The course, and the ‘Home of Yorkshire Golf’, has a moorland layout, an enviable practice area and USGA greens which play host to many prestigious Championship events such as the recent English Men’s County Finals.
Reporting to the Course Manager, the successful candidates are expected to maintain the course to the highest standard in line with the Club’s Golf Course Policy and offer the willingness to continually raise the bar to exceed the expectations of our members and visitors. The Clubs’ machinery replacement and investment program enables the latest technology and tools to be engaged if appropriate.
The Club has recently undertaken a bunker refurbishment program and with many other exciting development plans there will be the opportunity for you to showcase your current skills and attributes as well as developing new ones.
Full Time position 40 hours per week, weekend work on a rota basis paid as additional overtime.
28 days annual leave including bank holidays.

The candidate should have:
Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent sports turf qualification.
Minimum of 2 years’ Greenkeeping work experience.
Competence with operation and maintenance of modern golf course machinery.
PA1, PA2, & PA6 spraying certification (Desirable but not essential).
Good communication and timekeeping skills with a flexible approach to work and working hours.
Ability to work individually and part of a team.
Salary: £22,400 per year
