We regret to inform you that Tony passed away peacefully on the 3rd September. Tony had been a member of HGC for an impressive 47 years. He played regularly, was hugely popular and will be missed by so many of his friends here. Our sympathies go to his wife Ann and daughter Elizabeth. There will be a celebration of Tony’s life to be announced in due course.

Audi Quattro Cup Regional Final

They were partnered up to play as a better ball pair in this round. Graham Summerscales with Sam Shibil, Pete Newey with Matt Taylor and Hamish Ogilvie with Mark Spriggs. 15 teams went out to compete for 2 places in the National Final at Bowood Golf and Country Club, Wiltshire on 4 - 6 September.

The day started overcast and all the teams started their golf in the rain but the sky's cleared later for everyone to take advantage with their scoring. Mark and Hamish finished third on count back from Graham and Sam with Matt and Pete in 6th place. A great performance from our teams with only 1 point separating them and unfortunate for Mark and Hamish to miss out on playing at Bowood.
