It is with regret that we have to advise that Michael Dempsey (Micky D) passed away last Friday 10th October following a short illness. Micky who joined HGC in 2007 will be greatly missed by his many friends at the Club. His funeral is to be held at the Huddersfield Crematorium, on Tuesday 4th November at 12.30pm and will be followed by a celebration of his life at HGC.

Huddersfield Junior Dylan Shaw-Radford wins the Yorkshire Under 14 Championships

Huddersfield GC Junior Dylan Shaw-Radford won the Yorkshire Under 14's Championship held at Wortley Golf Club with fellow Huddersfield Junior Louie Walsh finishing 3rd.

Dylan, a 4 handicap, produced some wonderful golf over the 36 hole Championship firing a 73 in the morning to lead by 2 shots and then continued his sparkling form posting a 71 in the afternoon and total of 144 to win by 4 shots. Louie Walsh secured 3rd place with a 155 total.

A special mention also goes to fellow juniors Dominic Hughes finishing tied 4th in the Under 16's Championship and James Robertson in the Under 14's who tied 12th.
